I
was invited to Portugal Fashion and Brand Up Autumn/Winter 2014 in Porto, Portugal’s Fashion Week. The event
was over 3 days and situated at Alfândega do Porto, a beautiful
baroque building on the banks of the river Douro.
We
arrived on Thursday afternoon and met up with the rest of the
International fashion guests who included online / fashion
stores.
Looking
after all of us were the amazing Ana and Juliana who were so nice and
lovely! We all had a special time hanging out together and seeing the
best of Portugal’s designers.
It
was such a pleasure to meet you all.
Here are my favourite designers from the 3 days.
Susana Bettencourt for the amazing prints on wool. She is from Portugal where her passion for knitwear and traditional lace techniques were developed from early
childhood
Daniela Barros for the strong and feminine geometric cut and prints. She is from Oporto in Portugal. She uses organic material only and her collection is made in Portugal.
Diogo Miranda for the sophistication and elegance. He is from Portugal.
Couture spirit, sophistication, elegance, sensuality and exclusivity are the words that best describe his work.
